THE LAST APARTMENT HOUSE CHAMPIONSHIP BOUT
THERE ARE MANY benefits to being the champion of a sport. There is fame, glory, and of course, money. It is the wise champion who keeps in shape, always perfecting the skills which enabled the person to hold the crown in the first place.
   And then there's Salome, the champion of apartment house wrestling. She has fame, achieved when she wrestled the crown form the beautiful Cynara. Salome has glory -- her name is known throughout the world's elite as the queen of this exclusive sport. And Salome has money, given to her by the wealthy men from New York who first sponsored her in her championship bout against Cynara.
   These men want to keep the
  title in New York, now that it has been taken away from Los Angeles. When Salome won last year, these wealthy men gave the new champion $35,000 to use for the perfection of her wrestling skills.
   Dave Moll, the impresario of apartment house wrestling, was anxious to arrang a title defense for Salome. Many of the sport's fans in Los Angeles wanted a rematch between Salome and Cynara, but Dave ruled this out as clearly impossible -- Cynara had retired from the exclusive sport to marry a wealthy New York City magazine publisher.
   So the rich Los Angeles men chose another local favorite to have a shot at the champion-ship. They picked the stunning,
  exquisite Tara, a beautiful brunette from Newport Beach.
   The men in New York assumed their champion would have no problem defeating a newcomer like Tara.
   But there were two things they didn't count on: Tara's abilities and Salome's insolence.
   Tara was originally from Arkansas, and had move to southern California a few months after she dropped out of college. She hung around the singles scene for a while, but she found it to be a crashing bore. She wanted more out of life. She wanted fame and glory. Since she was not an actress, and did not pretend to be one, she neede another outlet.
